With a selfie stick as a shaky grip, Solo by Nas & Jim the tragedy of the narcissistic person. What if you want to reach the whole world, but you can't see past your own reflection? A musical performance with a lot of self-love, self-mockery, hard beats and an ode to the most vain songs from current pop and rap culture.
Solo by Nas & Jim is an ego-tripping duet in the form of a casual electro-pop concert. Nastaran Razawi Khorasani (performer and vocalist) and Jimi Zoet (composer/producer and performer) are on stage as a two-piece band that is constantly going on solo tours. With a line-up of arrogant acts and selfish (pop) songs, they try to communicate with each other by talking about themselves all the time.
